I fear the disk we handed into the English office was blank and failed to burn. I would like to assure the English office that the work was completed before the 3.10 this afternoon and that this is our video, completed.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Preparation for our music video: Second and Third Locations

We took photographs so that we could analyse where we were planning to shoot and to show the preparation for our music video.

The Second location that we used is that of Croft Hill and they are the Photographs of the woods.
The Third Location is the warehouse. For this part of our video, the music being played over the top was largely instrumental or the chorus so we did not use instruments. we decided to do this for a change and to vary the design of our video.

Preparation for our music video: First Location

For our music video we decided that our first location should be the garage in which the verses are played and performed in alongside the instrumental in Hysteria.
To start with we had move the equipment we need into the location. This involved moving the guitar, the bass guitar the amps and the drum set into the garage. This went smoothly as we planned time effectively and gave ourselves plenty of scope to move things without encroaching on our filming time.
We spanned our filming in this first location over two days to allow maximum productivity and performance.

These pictures show the preparation that went into constructing the set for our media video. They demonstrate the lighting, the props and the general Mise en Scene.

Advert First Draft

Album Advert

Tour Advert

analysis of cd covers 3

I really like how this album cover fits the name of the album 'puzzle', I really like the effect used to make it look like he is made of puzzle pieces, the colour scheme works really well to.
I don't think that the CD cover really suits the style of music but as a CD cover on its own I think it’s really well done and it doesn't look fake. It’s also very memorable and I would say that it is an original idea.
The image is quite striking as it is actually the lead singer of Biffy Clyro Simon Neil sitting naked on a stool, having a more controversial image on the cover would make people stop and look, making potential buyers seem more interested.
The image is also made of a foreground and a background, the splits the image; it looks like the other two members are coming in from a door from behind Simon, giving the image more layers.
The layout of the image is quite unconventional, as the man on the stool is slightly off centre because he needs to leave room for the other members of the band coming in from the left hand corner. The puzzle piece that is coming out the man on the stool has the most light and is the most prominent object in the foreground.
The shot used in the album cover is a long shot as it has all the band members in and you can see their feet as well so it isn’t a mid shot. This shot works because the foreground colour extends to the background, because you can see each of the band members.
The shot allows you to see most of the room ,pretty much setting the scene for the entire cover.
I think this album cover works really well , the reverence of the image on the front cover works really well, though its quite a surreal cover I think it gets the point across.

First Draft Magazine Advert

The use of image on this first draft of the magazine advert is important as it gives direct links to what it is trying to advertise. The picture used is that of the album cover and therefore gives strong ties to it. This is important in advertisement as the target audience can relate between the two.
I tried using just the man sitting down but I discovered that this didn't work as well as I'd have liked. The image could not be manipulated in the correct way, in a way that I feel looks professional. I also felt that the full image, such as the one used here, gave a better impression of the band, their genre and at the same time their creativity. In advertisement this is vital as it directly targets the bands target audience as it advertises via the genre of the music. I feel the full image also aids the layout of the whole advert. It has an effective parallel which I feel I have captured and this aided me in the positioning of the band's name and the album's name. These are two things which I feel work particularly well.

In terms of layout I felt that trying to keep the design simply would be the easiest and most effective. The effect I feel the band name, album name, the new album and out now pieces of information give is one of a mirror. Through the use of colour I feel there is a feeling of reflection between these and that this helps give the advert a feel of professionalism.
The two websites given, one for the band and the second for the recording studio help layer the advert split the writing in two. These effectively give an axis for the pieces of information to be mirrored over.
As well as how they seem to mirror each other, I also spent time on trying to make them fit perfectly in the centre of the screen by using the ruler guides on Photoshop. Having achieved this, space was left for the NME and Q reviews which fitted well and looked professional.
For the present, considering it is a first draft, I feel I achieved my desired layout and I happy with how it has worked.

Colour was something that was deliberated over. In the beginning the general pieces of information, such as Q or NME were green which suited the black background well but created a feel of there being to many colours. Also, there is no green present on there album and I felt there should be a consistency that run through both the products. Having consulted the mock ups, this was duly changed and I decided upon colours that are present on the digipack and also work well. Again, there is an ambience of simplicity, this was my desired effect and I feel it has been achieved.
Although strictly not falling under the heading of 'colour' I would say that creating an inner shadow on the band's name and the album's name has helped bring out these two pieces of information in a way that was not present on my mock ups. The names now seem obvious and are given clarity and definition by this effect and the colour used.

The use of fonts was although something I was keen to take my time over creating. The bands name and albums name both needed to stand out and thus I used a downloaded font to help these sat and out. To help create consistency between the products I ensured it was the same font that was employed on my digipack.
The second font used for general information was the standard font given on Photoshop text tool. I chose this because I had noticed from my magazine analysis how many adverts seemed to have a standard font for general information. Seeing as this is the norm and I have copied this technique, I hope it has gone some distance to develop professionalism within my work.

Overall I am pleased with this product. It was a combination of all my mock ups mixed in to one. The album name from one and the image and layout from the other and from both I took simplicity which I hope is obvious and  helps create a professional piece of work.

First Draft Digipack Design

This is the first draft design of my Digipack which I have completed to a standard that I am pleased with. A number of things have changed since the mock ups i designed for my CD Covers.

The most of the change is on the front cover of the digipack. I decided that the album name I would settle for would be 'New Breed'. Reasons I decided that this would be a more adequate name for an album because the length of the previous 'aggressively, we all defend the roles we play' was far to long and this had a number of consequences. These consequences included the how the length if name affected the layout of the cover and made it hard to create a parallel and and professional front cover. For this reason I decided that the shorter name no given to the piece of work has gone a long way to helping create a professional and hopefully impressive album name.
However, I did feel that there were consequences to changing to the name. The longer name fitted the image used for the album cover and made the relevance of the image obvious and clear. I balanced these positives and negatives and came to the sound decision that the shorter name was better.  I feel this because the image used for the album cover is still relevant to the band name I have selected and therefore I felt it could still be used.

The colour scheme is something that has been in place throughout my mock ups, until this first draft. It is one I am keen on as the silhouettes against the white background I feel is creative and shows some skill in photoshop. Whilst it does both of these things, I feel it also mirrors the creativity, the genre and the general look of the band I have created and the type of music that they play. I have gone some way the mirror the colours used across the panels on the digipack. This can be seen in the two white and two red panels. However there is a single black panel which does not mirror the colour of the one opposite. This is because the way the panels are folded, there doesn't appear to be a direct link and thus colour relevance is not so important. Instead I aimed to create something creative and professional looking.

The black left hand side panel facing the right way up was one that I deliberated and struggled with for a long period of time. In my head I always had designs for the other panels however I had not planned for this one. For this simple and plain panel I took inspiration from the digipack for Coldplays Viva la Vida album. I noted how they had images like have on the others but had decided to include a simple but relevant and fitting plain panel with just there name and the album name. It is from this that the inspiration for this panel came from and feel that it looks effective. I think the placement of the information on it is adequate as it was carefully measured against the ruler guidelines on Photoshop and I think the colour scheme goes particularly well. The red creates clarity and definition against the black background. Again this was something that I noted when I studied Coldplays work.
I feel the colour used fits well as it is the same as the other panels and is therefore effective in creating consistency from panel to panel. This, I feels, makes this panel adequate and relevant whilst having creativity in the presence of profound simplicity.

Throughout the creation of the digipack draft, simplicity was an objective I was keen to complete. I feel that often the simplest designs are the most effective and look not only professional but also creative. I feel that this is something I have managed to achieve and that it is obvious in the panels of the digipack. Having created this digipack I would still argue that simplicity in design is something that looks best on a completed piece of work.
I feel this is something which is present in the layout and the typography of this draft. It can be seen that the same font for the headings is used across each panel and the only change comes for minor information such as song names. This is something I have aimed to do throughout my mock ups because I like the aspect of consistency it produces in a piece of work and it is this consistency that I feel is important to creating a professional look.

The image is something I am pleased with. Although, as it is a first draft, the images are not my own, for the final draft I plan to replicate each image exactly as how they are seen here. This is something I am confident in being able to do as I have deliberately altered and added effects to the image that help create a simple image and therefore something which will not be to difficult to re create.

Overall, I am pleased with this design. It has been worked through my mock ups and I have taken inspiration from both existing pieces of work created by real professionals and bands and also my own designs merged together to create something that looks relevant and good. As it is a first draft I am keen to receive the marks and make changes and tweaks that I know will be provided, hopefully to create a better looking, better produced and better standard piece of work.

Inspiration for Band Advertisements

For my first Band advert I really wanted to do something simple like lots of block colours and not really complex images.

I really liked the simple two tone colours in these two album covers so I copied the Idea but I changed the colour scheme round because I thought yellow would better for my design.

For my second music advert I went for a different vintage style idea with, I found that a lot of album covers use this and I thought that I could apply it to my advert.

I really like the sepia style of the covers, I thought that the black worked really well on top of the brown, and really was brought out and defined by appearing over the top of the brown.

Band advertisement Three

Website analysis 3 The Strokes

The use of images on the strokes website mainly seem to be promoting some sort of Strokes product, as the main image is on a slideshow there is a different image appearing on the main page every 6 six seconds. The images on the page vary from T shirt advertisement to promotion of the strokes new documentary Taken for a fool. In the top left there seems to be a there is an image that is devoted to show casing the Strokes latest album, it also gives the option to purchase the album, or watch strokes music videos. The strokes logo seems to be very retro as it looks like a American 8o’s diner sign.
The colour scheme on the website seems to vary but the two colours that seem to stay throughout are white and black, these colours usually go with any other colour as well as complimenting each other as they are binary opposites of each other.
The colour scheme for the website is quite plain for the strokes standard, as on their last album ‘Angles’ it featured a very bright colour scheme that ranged from bright pink to Light blue with a chequered black and white background.
The layout of this website is very similar to the Foo Fighters website, as it follows the same rule of a big picture slide show in the middle of the screen and a list of links running across the top of the page. Though the layout is quite similar to the Foo Fighters website in addition the Strokes website has a list of information below the slide show.

The information below the images are left aligned, though I thought it would be better to have news more at the top so people could view the latest news first as that is the main thing that is going to be updated on the website.
The shots used in the website are mainly closeups and midshots, the midshots show pictures of the newest album and of the people wearing The Strokes merchandise, the midshots in the website seem to be pictures of the band, as I have said before the midshot  is favoured by a band because you can fit all members of the band into the shot. Closeups are usually used when the person wants the reader to focus on a specific thing in this case, album covers and new t shirts that are now for sale.
The font used on the Strokes website is quite plain; this font is used so the reader can clearly see what the website is trying to say. A clearer font allows the reader to remember more clearly what the website was trying to say, this way it sticks in your mind better, this is a advertising point because if the website can get you to remember more information abut new realises it will prompt you to buy the product.

Overall I think this website is quite effective, it has all the adverts for the strokes products on the main page, this allows the reader to see this first, increases the chance that they will buy something.
The colour scheme works well, even though there is no fixed pictures on the main page the colours still work.

Website Analysis 2 Kasabian

Really like the images used on the main page of the Kasabian website, the simple images used are simple yet effective, for example the image of their new album ‘Velociraptor!’ features an interesting image of the lead singer that has been changed so the colours on his face are just matte white and black, with red on his tongue, this simple effect has been repeated 3 times around the album cover, this makes for a very visually interesting picture.
The other used on the main page of the website is a Norse like design, at first I found it out of place on the website, but if you look at it carefully you see that it features the same kind of design that has been used for the album cover of the new album, four figures following each other.
The layout on the main page is similar to the Foo Fighters website that I analysed, it also has the links to the other as a strip across the top of the page, though what breaks up the block format of the layout is a black feather that has been placed at the homepage hyperlink, I think that this has been placed here to fit in with the Kasbian advert on TV which features the main singer turning into a raven like creature, so the feather fits in as a link to the new album, this design is also seen at the bottom of the page when you scroll down.

The colour scheme used on this website is the standard 3 main colours, black, white and red, this is a colour scheme that is used quite often by bands, this is because they colour scheme as well as being simple and non clashing it  also complements the other colours. The colour scheme really comes into play when you start to read the text as the background on the website is white the main headings are bright red, this makes them stand out, and allows them to be easily read.

The types of shots used on the website all seem to be mid shots, the mid shot allows the viewer to see most of the person and also some of the background, and this shot is fairly standard when it comes to band pictures as this kind of shot allows the whole band to fit in. Sometimes these shots only feature one or two f the members of the band, this is generally done with band pictures as well, its usually the front man or lead guitarist that gets the most screen time in videos and also tend to be the main feature in photo shoot, this is because fans seem to focus on these two roles on the band because they are deemed the most desirable, this is why they get more coverage in the media because products sell better with a recognisable person on the front.
The font used on the Kasabian website seems mostly to be courier new, this font gives the appearance of a old typewriter, this fits well with the Kasabian image because they take a lot of inspiration from the past, for example the Beatles with some of their more acoustic tracks. This retro theme also comes through with the lead guitarist’s retro style Rickenbacker electric guitar.
I think that the overall effect of the website works really well, the font contrasts with the modern look of the website; the images are well placed and break up the text nicely. The colour scheme works really well with album cover and the website, its simple but allows the complexity of the images to shine through.

Band advertisement Two

Band advertisement one

I really like music magazine adverts where the adverts are really simple, so I used just two colours in this design, i thought about the colours carefully and I thought that black and yellow works really well, and complements each other.
The image of the man falling is used on this design because I wanted my advert to be slightly linked to the band in some way so I linked the picture to the band album name.

Website analysis-Foo Fighters

This is the foo fighter’s official homepage; it has a slide show like section on the main page that displays relevant images. The images mainly advertise the bands recent releases of the new album 'wasting light', but there are also advertisements for the Foo fighter’s documentary.
I think the images used on the web page allow the reader to see in-depth information about the band, as Foo fighters is such a big band I think that it is important to show lots of in depth pictures so the fans can appreciate all the work Foo Fighters are doing to provide them with new music and news about band updates.
The layout of the Foo fighters website is quite informal, normally websites have all there hyperlinks on the left hand side but the foo fighter website has them positioned on the top of the page and the bottom of the page.
The website makes full use of the space it it given as the website uses high-resolution pictures in the middle of the page that stretch to either side of the page.
The layout of this website is very widely spaced, there are a lot of blank spaces in between the small amounts of text on the page, though it stills works because the image is the main interest of the page, especially when in changes every 6 seconds.

The top of the page features a really cool effect when you scroll over the text, it spins round when you scroll over it, I think small details like this really makes the website look really professional and also makes them fun to use.
The main colour scheme on the website is gold and black, this is because its the colours of the Foo fighters logo, though the colours do change on the website when the next image comes on in the slide show because they are different colours, though the website has been designed so each image fits in with the normal colour scheme.
The shots used in this website vary from closeups and mid-shots, the mid-shots are used for the pictures of the whole band, this is because it allows you to see a clear picture of the band instead of using a closeup, a closeup isn't used for the pictures of the band because as a band each band member usually gets the same amount of screen time (except Dave Grohl, but he promotes himself outside of the band to).
The closeup is used for the zoomed in shot of the guitar, this image is used for the Foo fighter’s documentary advert 'Back and forth'.
As I am finding more and more the font on this website is quite simple, I have found that with most band adverts, covers and websites that the font is simple and plain,  I think this is done to make reading the writing easier, and with bold block capital fonts you can remember what they say for longer, because you only have to remember the writing and not an intricate font.
I think that this band website is very effective overall, the large pictures on a slideshow like presentation allows the viewer to maintain interest because there is an alternative picture every 6 seconds. I also like the simplicity of the colour scheme and the simple font; i find its easier t read that if the website and really brought colours like yellow and green

Magazine advert analysis 3

Ireally like the image used here, it doesn't really have anything to do with the music or album cover but I think the effect of layering two images over each other works really well, especially with Jack white (far right) as he is throwing a deck of cards into the air and the shot captures it perfectly, it gives a really nice contrast to the other picture where he is just looking of to the right. The effect gives the advert a surreal feel.
I find that the image is really effective, because you only have to look at it once and its instantly memorable, it’s also a really interesting picture that draws the reader.
In the image I like how they have two band members standing up and two sitting down, it gives a nice contrast in the image.
The layout is a bit different on this advert as there is a considerable amount of blank space above and below the image and writing, though because both blank spaces are the same size it gives the advert a good non cluttered feel. This advert is larger than the other two I have analyzed because it is from an NME magazine, which pages are considerably larger than A4, I think this is why the advert has some blank spaces at the top and the bottom because its not designed for such a big magazine.
The scheme of the magazine is split into three, light green, dark green and black, the greens work really well on the black, they compliment each other and having the greens on top of a black background makes them show up better.
The use of green is quite effective because it is also the colour of the bench that the band is sitting on, keeping the magazine advert still a three-colour standard.
The black background really brings out the brighter colours in the image, this allows the reader to see the image more clearly, and therefore be drawn in, because the image and the large 'Raconteurs' in green are the main parts of this magazine advert that attract people to read more.
The shot used for the band picture is a mid-shot, this is because you cannot see there feet in the picture, i think having this shot as a mid shot is quite effective because it keeps the image small but interesting and it allows the designer to put it in smaller spaces because it doesn't take up as much room.
Having the image as a mid-shot allows the designer to get the whole band in, because if the photographer did a closeup on of the band members faces it wouldn't make sense because the Raconteurs isn't a solo artist its a band, so the use of a mid-shot shows the reader the whole band and what they loom like quite clearly.
There are two fonts used for this Raconteurs advert, the font used for the large 'Raconteurs' sign at the top is the most complex, its got the effect of a neon sign, I think this fits well in the picture because neon signs are always used in dark places and it looms dark in the picture so it complements the darkness well. It also gives the effect that the bank have a slightly retro feel, because they do because of Jack Whites blues inspired guitar riffs. The other font used is for the album name at the bottom of the page, its quite a plain font, it balances out the more complex designs of the other font and the picture this gives the advert a more balanced feel.
I think over all this advert is very effective, the really interesting image draws the readers in and the start contrasts in the colours of the font and the background allows the reader to view the writing really easily. The disjunctive image and brought text allows the reader to be drawn in more easily because it is more eye catching.

Magazine advert analysis 2

I really like the image used in this magazine advert, it links really well into the album title 'the united nations of sound', because it is building from the idea of the united nations it has the same kind of military  sewn logo, I like how refreshingly original the picture is , also how the image is shown is really effective as it incorporates the band and album name into it.
The image is really detailed because the picture shows you the individual stitches in the design.
I like how the picture is themed like it is an actually organization, I find that it peaked my interest because I wanted to know what the image stood for because it looked real.
The layout out the advert is different as the Image is above the text instead of the other way round, I think it works because the image incorporates the the album name as well as the band. The image is positioned so there is the same distance from the edge of the paper on each side of the image except the side with the text under it.
The text at the bottom of the advert is centre aligned, like the image above, there is a good distance from the edges of the advert with everything on the advert, it makes the advert look formal and effective.
The colour scheme on this advert features only three main colours, red, white and black. These colours all work well together because black and white are binary opposites and red complements black well and is a classic combination used in many adverts and various media formats for example Freddy kruger's jumper is red and black, Dennis the menace and the film sin city only uses these three colours.
Having the background white on this advert allows all the other colours to stand out, it allows the details on the image to really come out because white contrasts most colours really well.
The shot used here in this advert is a mid-shot, because its not close enough to be a closeup.
The shot used works well with the layout, because the image is to big it can be positioned in the middle of the advert without it spilling out onto another page, this keeps the advert simple and effective.
The font used in the advert is simple, I am finding with most music advertisements that all the writing on it is simple, I think that people do this so it can be clearly read and easily remembered. The font used is the same throughout the entire advert, the only real difference in the text is that 'Richard Ashcroft' is in a slightly larger size than the other text, this is done so you can identify the artist that the advert is promoting really easily.

I think the advertisement Is quite effective over all, the interesting original image makes the advert stand out, but i think for this advert the colours are a bit boring and drab, the background colour is more of a dirty white than pure white, this kind of makes the logo look quite dirty , it doesn't really inspire me to read more about it, though the font and layout make the advert easy to read

Magazine advert analysis

Feeder Renegades advert

The image in this Feeder advert is very provocative, it displays a lot of flesh, and therefore would attract a larger male than a female audience.
The image fits in with the title of the album being advertised, 'renegade' because she is wearing a balaclava, a piece of clothing that is normally associated with crime, hence 'renegade.
As a magazine advert the image is fairly smart as sex sells this advert would bring in more people than the same picture but with her wearing cloths, its built into the society that nudity is more acceptable and therefore this advert works with modern views.
I like how the image also has some disjuncture as she is is carrying a skateboard, this doesn't seem to have a direct link to the advert or band, disjunctive is quite a common theme in adverts now as the sheer randomness of adverts is easier to remember then a normal straight on shot of the band looking at the camera.
I quite like the layout of this advert because it doesn't leave a lot of space were nothing is happening, this gives the effect that there is a lot more going on in the advert than there really is.
The positioning of the text about the picture tells me that is the most important thing on the advert, it is the name of the band and this is probably the most important thing to remember on the advert.
The fact that the image is below the text as well tells me that it has less to do with the band as the actually information about it, though the size of the image tells me that it is actually quite an important part of the advert, as it is the thing used to draw readers in.
I like how simple the colour scheme, there are only 4 main colours on the advert, red, white, black and cream. the two colours that are the most important are the reds and the whites as they are binary opposites to each other, therefore they compliment each other, that why the  "the new album" part to the album is positioned in between the 'renegades' and the 'July 5th' because they are both red and the white of the 'the new album' really compliments the red, making the whole block of text look better.
The other colour featured quite a lot in this magazine is black, this is featured on the image though, for example on the writing on her back and the balaclava, this still fits in with the red, because red and black are a classic colour scheme that allays works.
The type of shot used here is a mid-shot, because you can only see from her hips and upwards. I think that this shot is really effective, because you can get closer than if you had to have the whole body in the shot. Having the image go off the page allows the reader to focus more on the parts that are still in the shot, like her face and the writing on her back, this is quite smart because for advertising the album  having it on her back would make more people read what it say's instead of having somewhere else (male gaze).
The font used is really simple, I think this is used because sometimes having the font simpler it gets more of a point across because its easier to read.
The simple easy to read font stays in your mind for longer, because your only trying to remember what the text said and not what it looked like.
Overall I think this design is really simple but really effective, by just having a interesting picture that really stands out, and then contrasting it with a simple font that has colours that complements the picture it produces a really clear concise and over all memorable advert.

Mock cover 2

Magazine Advert Mock Ups

This mock up was based on a lot of adverts I was seeing in NME based on the album cover of the album they are advertising. I chose this album cover because it is the one that I feel is the best of the mock ups I have created thus far.

Image wise, it is also suitable due to the large amount of black at the bottom which is useful for extending and then writing information on. Just like I have done as above. I feel the image and the advert would target our target audience successfully as it is powerful but due to the silhouette technique, also fairly negative. This reflexes the nature of our chosen genre.
However there are parts which I feel could either be replaced or be improved, to make a better and more substantial piece of work. for example I feel the spacing of 'The Almost Fall' could be better and that I could also change where I have put the 'The New Album" writing. I feel it could be moved down a little to remove excessive space between it and the 'Out Now' information. At the same time the general photoshopping could be better, however I still think it has worked effectively as a mock up as it has shown me how things could due improved.

I chose the green font for the pieces of information because I checked a colour wheel and saw that red and green matched. I took the green directly of the wheel and I feel it looks good directly against the background and that it is almost luminescent in nature and therefore advertises well. I feel that this will be something I keep for my final product but that perhaps I might make the red text a little darker to really create a negative feel.

This advert lost some of the simplistic nature I had been hoping to create but I feel that it works well and therefore this loss can't be lamented to much as I feel that it still works. I feel that finding the glance between effective layout and cluttering the advert will be the hardest thing and therefore on my final product I should ensure that I have carefully thought throughout layout, spacing and alignment.

Magazine Advert Mock Ups

I created this mock up to represent the slight bless rock side and the slightly more indie side of The Almost Fallen. Inspiration came from a magazine advert for New Found Glory in NME, which included them and their latest album in the same image. I therefore had to choose which of my mock CD covers to use. I settle on this one because I was trying to create something with a bit more of an Indie nature to it. Hence why I went for what I felt was the slightly softer of my album covers. The image of The Kooks would not be a hard to one to recreate, however there would be one less member in the photograph. However there are definitely things I would not keep the same f I were use this. Firstly, the image would include band members feet so that it did not look like they were hovering. Secondly I would have a darker background, the white works as an image but for an advert I don't feel it works well.
There are points I particularly like about this mock up and one of these is the use of the Green font. I feel that this works particularly well with the current white background and that its compliments the black of the band members top. Whilst it also stands out and makes obvious useful information. Copying the New Found Glory advert again I included information on the album in the advert, in attempt to make it look less like a poster and more like a magazine advertisement. I like the use of Bold and normal fonts, which will be something I use on my final product and like the differing fonts between the the band's name and the information on the advert.

Overall I feel it has worked well but I think a number of tweaks could produce a much more effective advertisement. Again the simplicity is something I am keen on and I feel this is possibly the most simplistic of all my mock ups. I feel this is emphasised by the use of the white background. I feel this was successful in creating a more indie advert to target a different side of our target audience.

This was a second copy I created just to see what a black background would do to the overall image. I think it works well. Especially with the tweaks of colour and black and white. I think these changes have created to some extent a successful advertisement.
